Late Navindra Raj’s wife in active politics of Congress, won General Convention Representative

KATHMANDU: NOV. 24 – Sapana Joshi, wife of late Nepali Congress leader and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, has been elected as a general convention representative from Kathmandu Constituency No. 8.
After the demise of former minister Nabindra Raj, Sapana became active in politics. Although Sapana did politics during her student days, she remained inactive for a long time. After her husband’s death, she became involved in politics and won the most votes for open women.
In the Kathmandu constituency, Nabindra had won the Constituent Assembly elections in 2064 BS and 2070 BS. Similarly, Nabindra’s brother Raju Raj Joshi has also been elected as a delegate from the same constituency.
