A shot was fired at the Congress polling station, seven injured

KATHMANDU: NOV. 24 – Seven people, including two policemen, have been injured in a clash between police and protesters at the Nepali Congress district convention polling station in Pyuthan. According to the police, the other party had to take the lead during the counting of votes.

After Bishnukumar Giri took the lead, the youths of the other party pelted stones at the Sworgadwari Campus. According to the District Police Office, Pyuthan, police fired seven tear gas shells to control the situation after the protest turned violent.

The injured have been taken to Pyuthan District Hospital, Bijuwar for treatment. Counting has now been postponed following the attack.
