Bhim Rawal announces candidature for president
KATHMANDU: NOV. 21 – CPN (UML) Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal has announced his candidature for the post. Speaking at a press conference at the Reporters Club on Sunday, Rawal announced his candidacy for the post of party president at the party’s 10th National General Convention.
Accusing the leadership elected from the 9th General Assembly of not being able to take the party in the right direction, Rawal said, “I am announcing my candidature for the central post.” I give direction to the overall politics. I will fight for a socialist-oriented system. ‘
He said that he had never been on the opposite side of the party. Stating that a strong UML is the desire of the country, Rawal said, “UML is the party of all.” It’s not just me who wants to make it stronger. I was of the opinion that there should be no division. ‘
Rawal has been expressing dissatisfaction with the party saying that the 10-point agreement has not been followed. In the Ninth General Convention, Rawal won the election with the highest number of votes. While 2,152 people voted for Rawal, 1,143 people voted for him.
