Minister Ale urges Yoga Guru Ramdev to become Tourism Envoy

KATHMANDU: NOV. 21 – The Government of Nepal has nominated Indian Yoga Guru Ramdev as its Tourism Envoy. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has urged Indian yoga guru Ramdev to become Nepal’s goodwill tourism envoy.

Speaking at a yoga camp organized by the Ministry today (Sunday) at Hansa Mandap in the Rashtradev Pashupatinath area, Minister Ale urged Indian yoga guru Ramdev to become Nepal’s goodwill tourism ambassador.

At the request of Minister Ale, Yoga Guru Ramdev said that Nepal was a unique tourist destination in the world and it was a matter of pride for him to be a tourism ambassador. He said, “I will formally accept the request of the Government of Nepal to become a tourism envoy in due course. It is a matter of pride for me to be an envoy.”

The yoga camp was attended by former Minister of State for Finance Larke Lama, NRN Founding Chairman Dr Upendra Mahato, Pashupati Area Development Fund officials, senior officials of the ministry and hundreds of yoga seekers. After the yoga camp, yoga guru Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna have left for India on a regular flight of Nepal Airlines Corporation.

Yoga guru Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna arrived in Nepal on Thursday.
