Congress Convention: Leadership selection in four states of Surkhet

KARNALI: NOV. 21 – New leadership has been elected in all the four state assembly constituencies of Surkhet under the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress. The convention held on Saturday has decided the leadership of the regional working committee of the state assembly through voting.

According to Assistant District Election Officer Advocate Durga Prasad Sapkota, Keshar Oli in Surkhet Constituency No. 1, Bhupendra Subedi in (b), Karna Bahadur Budha in Constituency No. 2 and Tej Bahadur Basnet in (b) have been elected as chairpersons. From the convention, the state assembly working committee, as well as the state representatives, have been selected.

Assistant Election Officer Sapkota informed that the federal election regional convention will be held on Monday and the district convention will be held on Nov. 26. Seven district office bearers and 10 general committee members will be elected in the district convention.
