‘Police operation with SLR in court is unforgivable’

KATHMANDU: NOV. 21 – Chairman of the Nepal Bar Association Chandeshwor Shrestha has said that mobilizing riot police including SLR in the judiciary to suppress legal practitioners is unforgivable. Speaking at the Supreme Court premises on Sunday, Chairman Shrestha condemned the unprecedented act in the court of Nepal.

He said, “that what we have done to suppress the legal practitioners by introducing armed police including SLR in the judiciary which is not available anywhere in the world is reprehensible and it is not enough to just condemn it. He further added that he had decided not to engage in debate in courts across the country.
