Mother and son arrested with brown sugar

TULSIPUR: NOV. 21 – Tulsipur police in Dang district have raided a house and arrested the mother and son along with about 20 grams of brown sugar. Sushila and her son Rohan Shrestha were arrested along with 99 grams and 19 grams of 710 mg of brown sugar in a raid on the family home of 38-year-old Sushila Shrestha at Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan-5 on Saturday evening.

According to Shyamu Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Area Police Office, Tulsipur, they were found making packets for the distribution of brown sugar. Although Sushila’s house is behind the electricity office at Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan-6, she is currently living in Tulsipur-5. According to police, the mother and son are brown sugar traders.

Chief Aryal said that her husband Basanta Shrestha is also involved in the business and the search for investigation is on. A large quantity of brown sugar has been recovered in Tulsipur. Before arresting them, two persons were arrested from Tulsipur Bus Park.

Dhiraj Budhathoki, 25, a resident of Tulsipur-5 Bus Park and 260 mg of brown sugar were recovered from Shah, a resident of Babai Rural Municipality -4 and currently residing in Baruwagaun of Tulsipur-6.
