Gradual improvement in weather, snow and rain in some places

KATHMANDU: NOV. 20 – The weather forecast branch has stated that the weather will gradually improve from today. The weather had been bad for some three days due to the low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea.

However, due to the partial effect of the seasonal system, light rain is expected in one or two places in the far west, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki and light to moderate snowfall is expected in a few places in the high hills and mountains.

In most parts of the country, including the capital Kathmandu, continuous cloud cover has been removed. The Kathmandu Valley has been feeling a bit warmer than in the past due to the setting sun since morning. The maximum temperature in Kathmandu today is 19.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum is 7.8 degrees Celsius. A cloudy and light snow had fallen in most parts of the country since November 18.

According to the Division, there is a normal change in the far western, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki States of the country while the rest of the provinces have partial to normal change. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the far west, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in a few places in the high hills and mountains of the country.

Even during the night, there will be normal cloud cover in the far western, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki States and the rest of the state will have partial to normal cloud cover. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places of Gandaki and Karnali.

There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in a few places in the high hills and mountains of the country. There will be normal cloud cover in the hilly areas of the country tomorrow and partial cloud cover in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light snowfall in Bagmati, Gandaki and a few places in the high hills and mountains of State 1.
