Man City’s De Bruyne tests positive for COVID-19

ITAHARI: NOV. 20 – Kevin De Bruyne, the playmaker for Manchester City, will miss this weekend’s Premier League encounter owing to a positive COVID-19 test result, the club said on Friday.

The reigning Premier League champions are going to host Everton on Sunday. But head coach Pep Guardiola was told on Wednesday that the Belgian was tested positive for COVID-19 after his return from international duty.

“He has a positive test result. He must recuperate quickly and maintain his health. More essential than anything else is the human being “Guardiola remarked at a press conference on Friday. “We have to be cautious when one individual is positive because people are still dying.”

Guardiola confirmed that De Bruyne has been vaccinated, “so now he is more protected. Hopefully the symptoms will be minor”.
