Pakistan beat Bangladesh by four wickets in first T20

KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – In the first T20 cricket match of the series, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 4 wickets. Pakistan completed the target of 128 runs with 4 balls to spare losing 6 wickets.

Fakhar Zaman and Khushdil Shah scored 34/34 to help Pakistan win. Shadab Khan scored 21 not out off 10 balls and Mohammad Nawaz contributed 18 off 8 balls. Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets.

After the openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam were out for 7 runs, Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik were out for zero in the innings but Zaman and Nawaz led the team to victory. Towards the end, Shah and Mohammad batted aggressively to ensure Pakistan’s victory.

Batting first, Bangladesh lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored 127 runs. Bangladesh’s Afif Hossain scored 36, Mehdi Hasan 30 and Nurul Hasan 28 runs. Pakistan’s Hasan Ali took 3 wickets and Mohammad Wasim took 2 wickets.

Bangladesh, who are on a tour of Pakistan, will play three T20s and two Tests against Pakistan.
