Minister Khand and US Assistant Secretary meet
KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – On Friday, Bal Krishna Khand and US Assistant Secretary of State Donlad Lu met as a courtesy.
The Home Ministry secretariat shared information from a meeting about bilateral relations and partnerships between Nepal and the United States.
The two ministers discussed, among other things, collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nepal’s development priorities, and US assistance to Nepal’s social and economic development.
Randy Berry, the US Ambassador to Nepal, accompanied US Assistant Secretary Lu on the occasion. The impact of climate change on Nepal’s economy, as well as future resolving measures, were also discussed during the meeting.
Minster Khand had extended grateful to the US for its support to Nepal in the fight against COVID-19. He also expressed his confidence that the US assistance would flow for the post-COVID economic recovery.
Minister Khand also thanked the Assistant Secretary for his visit to Nepal and hoped that the visit would bring Nepal-US relations to a new height
