Journalist Aryal received the ‘Global Youth Leadership Award’
KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – Journalist Nakul Aryal has been awarded the ‘Global Youth Leadership Award 2021’. At the inauguration ceremony of the Global Youth Leadership Summit, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun honored the youth of different countries including journalist Aryal. Journalist Aryal has been given the international honor for promoting youth issues in the field of Nepali journalism.
Aryal is also a former central member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. Actress Rekha Thapa, journalist Rishi Dhamala, former president of Amnesty International Rajan Kuinkel and others were honored at the ceremony.
Inaugurating the conference, Vice President Pun reminded that every change in the world has been led by the youth and the decisive role of the youth should be established in the political, economic and social spheres. Diwakar Aryal, chairman of the Global Youth Parliament, the organizing body of the conference, said that Nepali youth should now take the lead in the global agenda.
More than 100 youth leaders from more than 43 countries are participating in the international conference which started in Kathmandu on Friday. According to the organizers, the conference will continue till Sunday.
