Maoist center claims that the party has reached around 800,000 members
KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center has claimed that the number of its members has reached around 800,000. This information was given by Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, Chief of the Central Election Commission of the UCPN (Maoist) at a press conference on Friday.
He further added that this number may increase. ‘The number of party members across the country has reached around 800,000. There is something left to digitize and come from servers. That is why the final will come after saying how much, ‘said Shrestha.
The Central Election Commission has also formed seven-member election committees in the states, five-member municipalities and three-member ward committees for election purposes.
Conferences for leadership selection are being held in all the municipalities on November 27 and in all the provinces on December 11.
A national conference is being held in Kathmandu on December 26, 27 and 28.
