Deposits of commercial banks declined by Rs 35 billion and credit flow by Rs 36 billion

KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – Deposits of commercial banks declined by Rs. 35.31 billion in November. During this period, the credit flow of these Class A banks has reached Rs. 36.12 billion.

According to the data provided by the Nepal Bankers Association, the deposit collection of 8 out of 27 commercial banks has increased. However, other banks have declined. Demand for credit has declined in seven banks but increased in 20 others.

Due to lack of liquidity in banks, demand for loans from banks increased and deposit mobilization decreased in November.

At present, the total deposit in commercial banks is Rs. 42.33 trillion 34 crores. Demand for loans has reached Rs 4 trillion 34 billion 34 crore.
