Nepal Bangladesh Bank to distribute 15 percent dividend
KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – Nepal Bangladesh Bank is going to distribute a 15.50 percent dividend to the shareholders. The 27th Annual General Meeting of the Bank and the meeting of the Board of Directors have passed the resolution regarding the distribution of dividends brought by the Board of Directors.
The bank will distribute bonus shares at the rate of 12 percent of the paid-up capital and 3.50 percent (including the tax on bonus shares and cash dividends) from the profits of the fiscal year 2077/07.
The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the bank ARM Najm-us-Saqib and was proposed by the board of directors.
The meeting held on Friday has elected a new board of directors.
The meeting has selected six board members of the bank for the coming term. ARM Najm-us-Saqib, M Shah Alam Sarwar and Cameron Nahar Ahmed have been elected from the founding group. Similarly, Indra Bahadur Thapa, Yogita Dahal and Aman Sah have been elected from the general group.
The bank has stated that the general meeting has been held virtually as the infection of COVID-19 is not completely normal.
