A Division League from today: challenged to experienced Friends Club by Satdobato Club
KATHMANDU: NOV. 19 – The most awaited and biggest prize money competition of Nepali football, Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League is starting from Friday. Satdobato Youth Club and Friends Club are playing in the inaugural match to be played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.
The first game will start at 4:45 pm. Satdobato, who is competing in the top division for the first time, is very excited. Satdobato has been promoted from ‘B’ division to A division this year. Meghraj KC, an experienced and successful coach of domestic football, has taken charge of the Satdobato team. Saying that he is confident that his experience and the confidence of the players can bring good results, KC admits that there are some challenges for the players as they do not have much experience in this level of competition.
A Division’s experienced teammates have been playing in the league for a long time but have always been at a moderate level. Friends head coach Mrigendra Mishra said that the game with Satdobato was not easy. He said the club’s aim was to stay as high as possible by avoiding relegation. He said that he would not underestimate Satdobato as he is a new club and has a strong passion.
The two teams at the bottom of the league this time will be relegated to the ‘B’ division. This time the winner will get a prize of Rs 7.5 million. The runner-up will get Rs 5 million and the third-place winner will get Rs 2.5 million.
Last season’s title was won by Machhindra Club.
