State 1: CM Rai gets vote of confidence
KATHMANDU: NOV. 17 – Chief Minister of State 1 Rajendra Kumar Rai has received a vote of confidence. Chief Minister Rai received a vote of confidence from the state assembly meeting held on Wednesday.
The Rai-led government has received a vote of confidence in the Chief Minister of the state government formed from the five-party alliance on Nov. 2. Speaker Pradip Kumar Bhandari declared that out of the 92 members present in the state assembly, he got 50 votes.
Similarly, 29 votes have been cast in the opposition.
79 MPs were present in today’s state assembly meeting. At the same time, a Rai-led government will be formed.
Apart from the Unified Socialists, the Maoist Center, the Nepali Congress and the JSP have voted for Chief Minister Rai. He has become the chief minister according to the central alliance.
There were 21 MPs from the Congress, 15 from the Maoist Center, 10 from the CPN-U, 3 from the JSP and 1 from the Federal Democratic National Forum. Speaker Pradip Kumar Bhandari declared that out of 79 MPs, 29 voted against and 50 voted for the government.
Earlier, there was a UML-led government in the state. Sherdhan Rai became the Chief Minister on behalf of UML.
