Make tax issues public so that people know: Finance Minister

KATHMANDU: NOV. 17 – Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has instructed the employees to keep the tax dispute issues public without keeping them secret.

He said that the real taxpayers were the people, not the businessman. He was speaking at a Tax Day function organized on the occasion of the 10th National Tax Day 2078 BS.

The Inland Revenue Department and the Revenue Investigation Department have directed to make public the issues of tax disputes.

He also directed to implement the system of rewarding those who report tax evasion or fraud.
