Thapa’s question to the two judges: Can you say that the Chief Justice does not take bribe?

KATHMANDU: NOV. 17 – Returning to the bench, senior Supreme Court judges Kumar Regmi and Manoj Sharma were asked by senior advocate Shambhu Thapa to ask the CJ Rana whether he had taken a bribe or not.

Demanding the removal of CJ Rana, the agitating Thapa addressed a protest rally after a sit-in at the Supreme Court on Wednesday and asked the Chief Justice whether he had taken a bribe.

Addressing the protest, advocate Thapa said, “Two people should come here and say, ‘He (JB Rana) does not take bribe’.”

Asked whether the names of the two judges who returned to the bench were from the Nepal Bar Association, advocate Thapa said that if they were, they should answer the question.
