Nobel has honored for paying the highest income tax
KATHMANDU: NOV. 17 – Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital has been honored for paying the highest income tax in the country among the health and education service providers.
In the fiscal year 2076/07, Nobel was awarded as the best taxpayer in the field of health and education.
The prize was awarded by the Inland Revenue Department in a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning on the occasion of the 10th National Tax Day.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini honored Nobel’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Bhogendra Prasad Upadhyaya with garlands. Outstanding taxpayers from other sectors were also honored at the event.
At the same time, Nobel has twice become the best taxpayer in the country. Earlier, in the fiscal year 2073/07, the Nobel was awarded on the seventh tax day by paying the highest income tax in the country from the health and education sectors.
Reacting after becoming the best taxpayer in the country for the second time, Dr. Sunil Sharma, the director of Nobel Hospital, expressed happiness over the success of paying more taxes to the state this time as well.
