Newly appointed Minister of Karnali Shahi takes oath
KATHMANDU: NOV. 17 – Newly appointed Karnali Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Chandra Bahadur Shahi has taken an oath of office and secrecy. Minister Shahi was sworn in before Karnali Chief Tilak Pariyar on Tuesday.
Shahi was appointed by Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi on Tuesday. After Chief Minister Shahi appointed Shahi as the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Council of Ministers of the state government has become two-member.
Minister Shahi has been reinstated on Tuesday. A joint meeting of the ruling coalition Nepali Congress, the CPN (Maoist Center) and the CPN (Unified Socialist) had recommended Shahi as a minister. He is a member of the Karnali State Assembly from the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party.
