Government encourages electric vehicles and stoves: PM Deuba
KATHMANDU: NOV. 16 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the operation of electric vehicles and the use of electric stoves will be encouraged to increase electricity consumption. This was stated by Prime Minister Deuba while addressing the 20th General Assembly program organized by the Independent Power Producers Association of Nepal (IPPAN) on Tuesday.
“Why should we burn this gas stove?” He said. “We have enough electricity to run vehicles on batteries.” We can drive the bus. Our stove can also be an electric stove. ‘
Prime Minister Deuba said that the country should be made a model country by using electronic materials by expanding the use of electronic materials. He said that even if electric buses could be operated across the country, Nepal would save money to spend on fuel consumption.
He said that he is ready to help the industrialists who are coming to invest in the field of expanding the use of electric vehicles, electric stoves, and other electrical appliances.
He urged to end the trend of seeking permission for hydropower projects but not working.
