Effect of nationwide shutdown normal in valley [Photos]

KATHMANDU: NOV. 16 – The impact of the nationwide shutdown by the CPN-Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ against the price hike has diminished in Kathmandu as well.

Although the effect was seen in some places outside the Kathmandu Valley, the effect of the shutdown was normal in Kathmandu.

Public transport has been running on the road since morning. However, it seems to be a fewer running vehicles than before.

The deployment of security personnel has been increased in chowks. No untoward incident was reported during the shutdown, said Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Ashok Singh.
