Slight impact of Biplav-led CPN’s shutdown seen in State 1
BIRATNAGAR: NOV. 16 – The Nepal shutdown of the CPN-Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ against the price hike has not had much effect in State 1. According to the State Police Office, Biratnagar, long-distance vehicles are running sporadically and short-distance vehicles are running.
The shutdown has had little effect in Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari. The industrial sector has not been much affected. Spokesperson of the State Police Office SP Nabin Rai said that the impact of the shutdown was normal in State 1. He said that there was no significant impact on the local route but the long route was less.
All vehicles plying in the industrial area are running smoothly. As of this writing, no incident has been reported in State 1, police said. But the school has given leave.
