Fire burns 17 houses in Gamgadi of Mugu

KATHMANDU: NOV. 16 – A fire has broken out in Gamgadi Bazar, the district headquarters of Mugu. The fire started at 12:30 am night and completely destroyed 17 houses and three mobile shops.

Although there was no loss of life due to the fire, the property was reduced to ashes, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chitra Bhattarai. A fire broke out in Thille Tamang’s house at around 12 am. Locals, Janpath Police Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and Municipal Police Red Cross personnel were deployed to control the fire.

The fire was difficult to control as the houses in Gamgadi Bazar were made of wood and connected to each other. DSP Bhattarai said that the exact details of the damage have not been revealed yet.
