Nobel’s free health camp begins in Phidim
PANCHTHAR: NOV. 15 – A two-day free health camp has started in Phidim of Panchthar from Sunday. The camp was organized by Phidim Municipality-8 with the help of Phidim Municipality by bringing doctors from Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar.
Former Minister Basanta Nembang has inaugurated the camp at Ithung Secondary School, Phidim-8 by waving the flag of Nepal. Former Minister Nembang, State Assembly Member Asharatna Javegu, Mayor of Phidim Municipality Onahang Nembang, Manager of Nobel Hospital Narayan Dahal and others said that the needy patients could benefit a lot from the free health camp.
On the first day of the camp, 1,153 patients were given free health check-ups, said Dahal, manager of Nobel Hospital. According to him, video X-rays of 207 people, blood tests of 203 people and heart tests (ECG) of 192 people have been done. Similarly, general eye surgery has been performed on 13 patients.
Meanwhile, the teeth of 21 patients with dental problems have been extracted, according to the organizers. The camp is attended by specialists from Nobel’s Department of General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and Dentistry. The organizers aim to treat about 2,000 patients free of cost in the camp which will be operational till Monday.
