Three killed, 14 injured in Bolero accident
OKHALDHUNGA: NOV. 15 -Three died on the spot and 14 others were injured in the Bolero accident. The accident took place at Sikaridanda of Bolero Sunkoshi Gaonpalika-9 in the morning. The accident took place at Sikaridanda of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-9 in the morning.
It is said that there are devotees going to Champadevi Kakani temple and Ekadashi fair in Bolero. According to District Police Chief Govinda Raj Kafle, the deceased have been identified as Mithumaya Magar, 35, of Betini Rupse, Siddhicharan Municipality-10, Tulsa Magar, 17, of the same place and Khagendra Magar.
Police Chief Kafle said there were 18 passengers and Bolero fell about 600 meters from the road. The seriously injured have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, said Ward Chairman of Sunkoshi-9, Jhanak Kumar Karki. The injured were rescued by the police post-Koshhat and locals. The other injured are undergoing treatment at Okhaldhunga Community Hospital.
The Kakani temple, located on the border of Sunkoshi-9 and Champadevi Rural Municipality-9 of the district, attracts a large number of devotees every year. Devotees have been coming from places like Okhaldhunga, Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Udaipur and Solukhumba to visit the fair which is held for more than a week on the occasion of Ekadashi.
