Gandaki chooses UML General Convention more than 150 representatives will vote
POKHARA: NOV. 15 – The CPN-UML, which is engaged in the tenth general convention, is electing delegates from the district level. More than 150 representatives have been elected from Gandaki, which has 11 districts.
UML Gandaki secretary Jagat Bishwakarma informed that 168 people have been selected from the state committee and district. According to him, 12 have been selected from the states and the rest from the districts. Gandaki has 78,935 organized members. Of these, Manang and Mustang are the least and Kaski the most. Even the delegates to the General Convention have been elected less from the Himalayan district and more from the lower districts including Kaski.
There are 4/4 candidates from Manang and Mustang, 9 from Myagdi, 11 from Lamjung, 12 from Baglung, 13-13 from Tanahun and Parbat, 15 from Gorkha, 19 from Nawalpur, 24 from Syangja and 31 from Kaski. Bishwakarma said that all the districts were unanimously selected.
Of them, 48 are women and the rest are men. The number of women in the open is not much. They are elected from their own quota.
