Karnali State Stadium construction agreement with a capacity of 10,000 spectators
KATHMANDU: NOV. 14 – An agreement has been reached for the construction of the Karnali State Stadium, which is being constructed by the Karnali State government. Karnali State Sports Development Council and construction contractor MACGSL Joint Venture (a joint venture of Nepali and Indian businessmen) signed an agreement for the construction of the stadium on Sunday.
As per the agreement, the stadium will be constructed in EPC (Engineering-Purchase-Construction) model. As per the agreement, the construction cost of the project, which will be completed in 30 months, will be Rs. 1 billion 59 crores 47 lakh 47 thousand 600 rupees.
According to the agreement, the stadium will have AAF standard eight-lane synthetic athletics track. Earthquake-resistant parapet with a capacity of 10,000 spectators, VIP parapet of galvanized iron will be two storeys high. Upstairs will be roofed with a VIP parapet, the player’s changing room, toilet, shower, mix zone, mamiya room, canteen, referee room, medical room, physiotherapy room, VIP waiting and refresh room.
The stadium, designed to have an underground parking lot, will be disability-friendly.
There will be a TV live broadcast platform, toilets according to the capacity of the audience, safety standards, an Olympic torch stand, a FINA standard swimming pool, and a multi-purpose covered hall with a capacity of 1,500 spectators.
There will be a covered hall for playing volleyball/handball, handball and basketball outdoor court, public toilet parking compound wall with 40 shutters, main entrance, player/spectator and function entrance green landscape and parking sidewalk as well as a water fountain.
The agreement was reached in the presence of Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi.
