New record of 11.11 in Daraz, service to 700,000 in 24 hours
KATHMANDU: NOV. 13 – The fourth edition of Daraz 11.11 has managed to break all previous records by providing service to 700,000 online shoppers within 24 hours. With over 360 million sales, it has become the largest one-day sale ever, the company said.
Stating that 60 million products were sold in the first hour of the campaign, it is 130 percent more than the first hour of last year. Breaking last year’s record, more than 50 percent of sales in this campaign have been through online pre-payment. Of the thousands of businesses that sold at 11.11, 55 percent started selling in Daraz at the time of the epidemic.
This is the result of the company’s ongoing efforts over the past year and a half to uplift the businesses of small and medium enterprises. “We are pleased with today’s results,” said Bjarke Mikkelsen, CEO and founder of Daraz Group. The success of 11.11 underscores the strength of Daraz and the quality of the products that customers purchase. Not only that, this one-day sale also illustrates how small and medium enterprises can increase their potential online. ”
With the first 11.11 orders delivered at 8:00 am on the same day, the company is now fully focused on delivering each order in 47 cities across the country with its 7 logistics partners and more than 1,000 delivery riders.
Following the success of 11.11, Daraz has announced a popular 11.11 offer and various brand highlights for its customers in the coming days.
