Bham’s film ‘A year of cold’ received 2.5 million in funding
KATHMANDU: NOV. 12 – Director Min Bahadur Bham’s upcoming film ‘A Year of Cold’ has received a large amount of funds from a Taiwanese organization. His film is set to receive 2.5 million dollars in funding from Taiwan’s prestigious Taipei Film Commission. The commission announced that the funds would be provided to ‘A Year of Cold’ on October 25.
Earlier, Bham had been selected for the $10,000 Asian Cinema Fund after scrutinizing 114 applications for the script of the film.
He also won 6,000 euros (about 821,000 rupees) at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The unfinished film tells the story of a Tibetan woman (Pema) ‘s struggle to find a husband.
The movie ‘Kalo Pothi (The Black Hen)’ directed by Bham has won many international awards before.
