Nepal Bar is preparing to stop the Chief Justice at the gate [Photos]

KATHMANDU: NOV. 12 – The Nepal Bar Association is preparing to bar Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana from entering the Supreme Court today. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Thursday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.

According to Bar General Secretary Lilamani Poudel, a sit-in is being organized to prevent Chief Justice JB Rana from entering through the main gate. Nepal Bar is in a phased agitation demanding the resignation of Chief Justice JB Rana.

Meanwhile, the inner door of the Supreme Court has been closed on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General and the office of the Nepal Bar Association. Earlier, legal practitioners had been coming and going to the Supreme Court from the gate towards Nepal Bar.

Security personnel with riot control equipment are deployed at the roadside gate to enter the service recipients and other persons.
