Council of Ministers is expanding in Bagmati, who are becoming ministers?
KATHMANDU: NOV. 11 – The Council of Ministers is expanding in Bagmati State. On Thursday (today), Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey expanded the cabinet and added two new ministers, said leader Chiring Dorje Lama. According to him, one minister each is being added from Nepali Congress and Maoist Center today.
Among the new ministers are Salikram Jamarkattel of the UCPN (Maoist) and Nima Lama of the Nepali Congress. They are joining the government with the ministries of finance and health, respectively. “Both of them are becoming ministers today. Salikram and Nima will take oath at 5 pm, ‘said Lama. Their swearing-in is taking place at 5 p.m.
Pandey, who was appointed chief minister on October 28, had formed a four-member cabinet. Earlier, Kumari Moktan of the UCPN (Maoist) had been appointed as the Minister for Social Development, Krishna Prasad Khanal of the Unified Socialists as the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law and Krishnalal Bhandel of the Nepali Congress as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development.
From today, the Bagmati cabinet will have six members. It is said that the meeting will be held today after the expansion of the cabinet as much as possible.
