Agreement between Nabil Bank and Sahaj to promote agri-enterprise

KATHMANDU: NOV. 11 – An agreement has been signed between Nabil Bank and Sahaj for the financial promotion and strengthening of small and medium agri-enterprises in State 1. The agreement was signed by Nabil Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Anil Keshari Shah and Swiss Contact Nepal’s Country Director Sanjay Karki in a special ceremony.

Providing quality and up-to-date banking services to its customers, the bank has launched Swiss Contact (as the leading agency) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) project in Sahaj Beach, province no. The agreement was signed with the objective of strengthening the agricultural sector by promoting agri-enterprises by increasing financial inclusion in the country and a project has been prepared accordingly.

Talking about the project, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank Shah said, “Nabil Bank has always given priority to financial inclusion and the flow of credit to the agricultural sector will play an important role in the sustainable development of Nepal’s economy.

Similarly, Sanjay Karki, Country Director of Swiss Contact Nepal said, “Swiss Contact Nepal believes in partnering with private sector organizations and stakeholders to create and shape sustainable opportunities to improve the lives of people and communities.
