Tourism Board to provide short term employment to women workers
KATHMANDU: NOV. 11 – Nepal Tourism Board is to provide short-term employment to women workers working in the tourism sector. Short-term employment opportunities are being created for women workers in formal and informal sectors related to tourism who are at high risk due to the epidemic of COVID-19.
It is said that this will help in their livelihood relief and revival of the tourism sector. Under the program, which is being carried out by the board in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program, women tourism workers will have to carry out the cleaning of the tourist areas in the valley, maintenance of bridges and bridges on footpaths, maintenance of footpaths and sidewalks.
Women tourism entrepreneurs and workers who want to participate in the short-term employment program must submit the application, a copy of the citizenship certificate, a copy of the identity card of the tourist worker, and the bank account number to the office of the board.
The deadline for submitting applications for the employment program to be provided from Nov 16. The board has stated that the workers will get Rs. 1000 every day from the employment program provided to 100 people.
