UML General Convention: Each member should raise at least 100 rupees
KATHMANDU: NOV. 10 – CPN (UML) has decided to collect at least Rs 100 from each member for the party’s 10th general convention. The decision was taken by the General Management Committee of the General Convention held at Tulsilal Memorial Foundation, Kathmandu on Wednesday, said Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, Chief of the Central Publicity Department.
He informed that the party has taken account of that. “The party has taken that into account. Each member has to send at least 100 rupees. Today’s meeting of the original management committee has made this decision, ‘said Chief Bhattarai.
Chief Bhattarai claimed that UML has 730,000 party members in the current situation. He said that Rs 73 million would be in the account when they were deposited at the rate of Rs 100 from each of them. The party hopes that the money will help in the management of cadres across the country, as well as in the respect and management of guests from allied countries and representatives from various party organizations.
