One died, five injured in bus accident in Helambu

SINDHUPALCHOWK: NOV. 10 – A passenger bus left for Kathmandu from Helambu 7 Echok of the district has met with an accident at Echok. One person died and five others were injured when a bus (Ba 4 Kha 5815) of Sindhu Helambu Transport Company met with an accident at Echok of Helambu this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Tamang, 55, of Palchowk in Helambu-3, according to the Area Police Office, Helambu. The injured have been identified as Anuj Tamang of Helambu-6, Pasang Dorje, Sajan Tamang, Jangbu Tamang and Aayush Pandit of Helambu-7, said Sunil Thapa, Deputy Inspector at Area Police Office, Helambu.

The injured have been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. Police have arrested the bus driver and started an investigation.

According to the Area Police Office, Helambu, the accident took place due to brake failure.
