Heads of three states to be changed
KATHMANDU: NOV. 9 – The government has decided to change the heads of the three states. The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to make Parshuram Khapung in State 1, Tilak Pariyar in Karnali State and Devraj Joshi in Far-Western State.
It is said that recommendations have been made to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari after the decision. The ruling parties have divided the state chief.
Joshi, who is also a former Congress lawmaker in the Far West, has agreed to make JSP’s Khapung in State 1 and Pariyar of the Maoist Center in Karnali the statel chief.
Pariyar was earlier the state chief of State 2. The government has already returned the state chiefs of Bagmati, State 2, Gandaki and Lumbini States. The government has recommended the removal of Somnath Adhikari of UML-1, Ganga Prasad Yadav of Far West and Govinda Kaluni of Karnali.
