Supreme Court judges discuss after all sorts of benches have been fixed

KATHMANDU: NOV. 9 – Following the appointment of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana as a non-habeas corpus judge, the Supreme Court judges are engaged in internal discussions. A judge informed that the meeting will discuss whether to sit or not.

Despite agreeing to hear the case in the habeas corpus bench, Chief Justice JB Rana has also convened a bench for other cases.

Meanwhile, the Nepal Bar Association, an umbrella organization of agitating legal practitioners, is also angry over the appointment of other benches. Chandeshwor Shrestha, chairman of the Bar, said that it was clear that Chief Justice JB Rana had a strategy to go to forcefully and warned that they might have to fight harder.
