Chief Minister Pandey proposes a vote of confidence
KATHMANDU: NOV. 8 – Bagmati Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey has tabled a motion of confidence in the state assembly. Chief Minister Pandey has submitted the proposal in the meeting of the state assembly held on Monday.
Similarly, Pandey has even urged all parties to cast their votes. Pandey, who has been appointed as the Chief Minister under Article 168, Clause 2 of the Constitution, has to take a vote of confidence within 30 days of his appointment as per the Constitution. Due to the same compelling situation, Chief Minister Pandey has submitted a motion of no-confidence.
Pandey has become the chief minister on behalf of the Unified Socialists. Along with the Unified Socialists in the state, there are the Nepali Congress, the Maoist Center, and the Janata Samajwadi Party.
