Demonstration of lawyers demanding resignation of Chief Justice [Photos]

KATHMANDU: NOV. 8 – Protesting against the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana, the lawyers have started protesting today as well. Lawyers affiliated to the Nepal Bar Association have protested with black bandages on their hands.

They are holding demonstrations and sit-ins in the Supreme Bar premises. Bar had announced a sit-in in the first phase before the festival with an ultimatum to Chief Justice JB Rana to resign.

Bar said preparations were underway to announce a strong movement program in the second phase. The nature of the movement is being discussed with units across the country, the bar said.
