State 1 CM Rai says state’s name to be finalised soon
KATHMANDU: NOV. 6 – State 1 Chief Minister Rajendra Rai has said the name of the state would be finalized soon after discussing it in the state assembly.
Talking to journalists at Tumlingtar of Sankhuwasabha on Friday, he said the state name would be decided on the basis of identity and multi-identity through consensus after discussing on it in the state parliament.
As the Chief Minister said, discussions on the name of the state would be initiated from Koshi, Kirant and Sagarmatha which carry the identity of the state.
He shared that the discussions for naming the province would be held either by convening an all-party meeting or with the party chiefs. Chief Minister Rai said the province could not be named to date as the previous province governments did not discuss the issue in parliament or initiate the same.
He said discussions on naming the state would be started soon after the state assembly session is convened after the Tihar festival.
