“CPN (Unified Socialist) is illegally born party”
KATHMANDU: NOV. 3 – Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and Chief of the Central Publicity Department Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has remarked that the CPN (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal is a party formed through illicit relations. This was stated by Bhattarai at a press conference organized by the department in connection with the preparations for the tenth general convention to be held on Nov. 26 to 28.
At the press conference, Surya Thapa, Deputy Chief of the Publicity Department, informed that he would invite the major political parties of Nepal to the General Convention. Then call the Unified Socialists? “We have told the major parties,” said Bhattarai. The identities and addresses of some of the parties are not clear. Some parties are made up of illegal relationships and born illegally born party. I don’t think groups formed in the name of such political parties should be called to the General Convention. ‘
However, the UML has invited communist political parties from more than 62 countries for the general convention. While inviting foreign parties, the Unified Socialists will not be invited.
Nepal has split the UML and formed a unified socialist under its own leadership. While in the UML, Nepal was a senior leader. After splitting the party and forming a new party, UML is facing it head-on. UML is agitating on this issue even in the House of Representatives. UML has been calling the MPs of Unified Socialists including Nepal as non-MPs.
