KATHMANDU: NOV. 3 – The stock market (NEPSE) index rose by 4.59 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

By the end of trading on Wednesday, the NEPSE index had risen 0.16 percent to 2,848.21 points.

The Sensitive Index fell 0.57 points to 530.85. Out of the 13 subgroups traded, the indices of 7 subgroups have increased while the sub-indices of all other groups have decreased.

A total of 9,963,592 shares of 229 companies were bought/sold at Rs 6,525,076,031 on Wednesday.

Shares of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, Sahas Urja Company and ICFC Finance Limited rose 10 percent each.
