Lawyers continued their protest on the fourth day
KATHMANDU: NOV. 3 – Lawyers seeking the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana have continued to protest. Lawyers led by the Nepal Bar Association have continued their protest for the fourth day today.
They continued their protest on Monday and Tuesday by wearing black bandages Sunday. Chief Justice JB Rana had said he was in favor of a “dignified exit”. But on Monday, he insisted that he would leave only in accordance with the constitution.
Judges are shocked by JB Rana’s stand. They are ready to take a ‘tough’ decision after Tihar. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Today is the last day of the announced first phase program.
