Political parties should speak on court issues: Shekhar Koirala
KATHMANDU: NOV. 2 – Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana should give a way out in the court dispute.
Koirala said that there was no doubt that the judiciary should be independent and impartial. He said that he was against the statement not to talk about the judiciary. Speaking at a program organized by the Human Rights and Peace Society in Kathmandu on Tuesday, he said, “We should not interfere in the decision of the court.” We should not interfere in the decision, but we should not talk about the problem that is seen now. ‘
He also expressed dissatisfaction over some senior advocates saying that they should not speak on the issue going on in the court. He said that the political parties should speak on the issue in court now.
“The chief justice must use his discretion to pave the way for a way out,” Koirala said.
