Five Nepali films to be screened at COP26 conference
KATHMANDU: NOV. 2 – Five Nepali films will be screened at the World Climate Conference (COP26). Films on climate change will be screened at a conference in Glasgow, Scotland.
The names of five films were announced at a function held at the Film Development Board on Monday. Out of 50 films received from across the country, 15 were selected and the best five were announced.
The selected films are Ek Krishak Ka Ek Paila, Plastic Lai Nai Bhanau, Kam Bhabishya, Himalaya Ma Jaalbayu Pariwartan Ra MA Hanumante Hu. The British Council and Board had invited applications from filmmakers under the age of 18 under the ‘Camera Sick’ program.
The judging panel selected 10 teenaged boys to make a film on climate change. The winner has been awarded Rs 1.5 lakh.
