Youths of Jhapa drum up public campaigns to run public library
JHAPA: NOV. 2 – Youths of southern Jhapa have drummed up support to establish a published library. Youths of Kachankawal Rural Municipality-2 of Jhapa have intensified their campaigns for this noble cause.
They have run a public interaction program on Saturday at the Shree Laxmi Prasad Devkota Higher Secondary School.
The campaign is run by an organization called Praja Nepal. According to Prakash Kashyap who leads the organization, they are gearing up locally to increase the reading culture at the locality. Kashyap said they are buoyed by the optimistic reactions from all quarters of the community from teachers to elected representatives to farmers, and the likes.
The student of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) at Tribhuvan University, Kashyap said their aim is a long-term campaign to aware local youths and book-loving folks. Kashyap said their aim is to include e-books and all available research papers and digital archives as far as practicable.
This, he claimed, would be the first of its kind library in Jhapa. ”We are in mission to run a research center plus a well-equipped library in this locality,” said Kashyap, ”We are optimistic to hear positive and supportive inputs from all stakeholders here.”
