KATHMANDU: NOV. 2 – Lawyers have begun the third day of protests demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice. Lawyers who have been protesting at the Nepal Bar Association and the Supreme Court premises since last Sunday have continued their protest for the third day today.
Bar has set a five-day deadline for the Chief Justice to resign, which expires on Wednesday. However, instead of resigning, the Chief Justice said, “I want a dignified exit.”
Since then, runaway lawyers have become increasingly aggressive. They have been taking the stand that the Chief Justice should resign unconditionally.
