Leadership did not work according to law: Daman Nath Dhungana

KATHMANDU: OCT. 31 – Former Speaker and Senior Advocate Daman Nath Dhungana has said that the institutions created by the constitution are in danger as the leadership is not working according to the law and code of conduct.

He said that they have launched a cleansing campaign from the judiciary as the institutions created by the constitution are not functioning as expected and are gradually deteriorating.

‘The institutions created by the constitution are not functioning as expected. Those in the leadership are not able to act in accordance with the law and the code of conduct,” he said.

He said that the lawyers were at the forefront of the fight for democratization as they were the defenders of freedom and the rule of law.

“We have always been at the forefront of the fight for democratization. This is a cleansing campaign, ”he said. That is why we have launched a cleansing campaign on behalf of the courts and legal practitioners. ‘
